Sincerely fabulous

Found this blog and this girl is amazing, so beautiful and fab outfits. Very jealous of her brown skin, and lack of need for a coat.

Nails: Mary Katrantzou

Wah Nails have brought out some new designs inspired by Mary Katrantzou's collection for Topshop. They are amazing, unfortunately I have no idea how they have created these designs; will have to do a bit of trial and error on my sister.

I would love to have them done by Wah Nails but I went last November and was really disappointed so not rushing back even though these designs are so cool.

Scallop Shorts

I love scallop shorts, perferably I would have them in a cream or colbalt blue. But I really liked this DIY versions from Cats and Rocking Chairs I will be trying this out if I don't find any that suit my needs.

I found this picture of silky scallop shorts on Fashion Toast in the pictures of her NYC Fashion Week diary.

Highstreet Cheats

Love the florals at Erdem SS11

Warehouse are bringing out some floral designs which are very similar to the above Erdem and Stella McCartney designs.

Mary Katrantzou

I love Mary Katrantzou's SS11 collection, I think I am late to this but just seen the pictures now. I hope the highstreet do some copies of her lampshade skirt. I love the colours and patterns in these looks, perfection! Net-a-porter will be stocking her collection for SS11.

Topshop are colaborating with Mary for SS11, however, they have used her SS10 collection for the inspiration which is a shame because I much prefer her most recent collection.

Topshop Unique

I love these Dalmatian print nails that Sophy Robson has done for the Topshop Unique AW11 show, I can't wait to try them out.

And LOVE the Dalmatian print boots Unique are bringing out for AW11.

Nail Inspiration

Just saw this picture of some giraffes on http://www.honestlywtf.com/ and thought they would look amazing on nails. Probably not that difficult to do either as you would just need to paint then a yellow-brown and draw the white pattern over the top.

Also just found these candy heart nails on http://www.wah-nails.com/ and loved them. I think I might do them for myself tonight, as I don't have any interviews this week so can have as crazy a pattern as I would like!

I also love the nail duo sets that Topshop have brought out in their Sandstorm collection, in particular I think the Zealous duo would look amazing marbled. http://www.topshop.com/

Nailsmania

I love Sophy Robson's butterfly tattoo nails which she did for the Lowe SS11 show in Paris, for ages I could not find the right materials to create a similar effect but then Look Magazine published an article about nail art and named a website www.naildelights.com which sell 'water decals', I went on and found the perfect transfers and ordered 70!

This is the end result, not too bad if I may say so myself;

p.s I think you can still get 10% discount from this website (until the end of May) if you enter Look10 into the discount code section at check out.

My friends are happy for me to try out new designs on them, and we open the 'nail bar' (my extensive collective of polishes) a couple nights a week and try out new ideas. My favourite is leopard print; it always looks so good and is actually so easy.
Here are some others;

Inspired by doughnuts that we can't eat: Hundreds and Thousands for Courtney

Inspired by Sophy Robson's rainbow manicure.

Leopard for Mouse, my favourite design

Faces for Chelsea, inspired by Sophy Robson's SS11 designs.

In Pictures

The BBC news website has a 'News In Pictures' feature, the pictures are always so powerful and capture the moment. The below pictures are taken from two features; one from a selection of Word Press Photo winners 2010 and another on Passion in relation to Valentine's Day which were sent in my BBC News readers.

Ready for Colour

Style.com

I am so ready for a brighter wardrobe; I am done with the winter months, my coats, boots and cardigans. Unfortunately it is still pretty cold here and will be for at least another 2 months so I will have to accompany black tights with my new summer brights for the minute.
I think the above picture is an example of amazing winter brights, looks so good.
After looking through the photos taken at NY Fashion Week by Jak&Jil for Style.com I think what I really need is a colour pop bag, primary colours only. I love the above Prada, perfect.

I'll have mine in pillar box red and pea green!

Summer Hair

I am pretty sick of my hair at the moment; it is so long and lifeless. Unfortunately I spent all my money in Berlin and I can't afford a haircut unless next payday. So I am spending the time dreaming about summer hair and all the things I will do with it come the warmer months. I think I am going to go for a Olivia Palermo long bob, it is such a good length; short enough to keep the volume, but long enough to be able to do some nice up dos.

Downtown from behind

I love these photos; I have them as my background at work. They remind me of my Euro trip with my friend Megan; we cycled around Paris on bikes and it was so fun, apart from the odd 'moment' when my map-reading skills (or lack of them) were put to the test.

Island Shopping

There are a lot of benefits to living on an island, but shopping is definitely not one of them. So often I am dissatisfied with the lack of choice over here, our Topshop is so small, and the boutique are nice but very expensive and they only get new stock every season. It isn't going to change any time soon as it doesn't make business sense to set up a H&M or anything like that over here as there just isn't enough people over here.

The situation is made so much worse by the fact that Arcadia will not deliver to us, I have written to them on a number of occasions but no response. Such a shame, I get so jealous when I see the clothes blogger pick up so easily because they have the choice.

On a brighter note; it was my youngest sister's birthday at the weekend, and her gift was a trip to London. So I have compiled a shopping list for Mouse and hopefully she will get me the goods, couldn't have come at a better time as I am loving all the SS11 highstreet collections so much.

Olivia

For me, she never gets it wrong. I love the pinks and browns, another example of keeping warm in SS11 trends.
Someone needs to give her a hair contract, how can it be so glossy?

Berlinspiration

I have just returned from a weekend away with 8 friends to Berlin. Not as cold as expected, packed loads of thermals and our rooms were actually boiling.

I think I ate 7 burgers while I was away, and we had too much fun in the photobooth across the road from our hostel, I have really bad bruises from running in and out so many times.
